# LeadBoxer Credits

LeadBoxer uses credits to measure usage. Every action, such as identifying a visitor's company, enriching data or generating an account summary, uses a fixed number of credits. Email open, click and form submit tracking are free.

Prices are on the [LeadBoxer pricing page](https://www.leadboxer.com/pricing). For how credits, overage and pay-as-you-go work, see [LeadBoxer Pricing Explained](/leadboxer/account-and-billing/leadboxer-pricing-explained.md).

### How to Track and Use Credits

Open **Credit Overview** from the profile menu (top right). It shows:

* your current credit balance and how much of your monthly credits you have used
* which actions used your credits
* your credit usage over time, for a date range you choose

You can upgrade your plan anytime on the [Billing](/leadboxer/account-and-billing/billing-and-subscription.md) page to increase your included credits and lower your price per credit.

### Frequently Asked Questions

#### Do credits expire?

Yes. Unused credits expire after the validity period of your plan (see the table above).

#### Can I use more credits than my plan includes?

Yes. On a paid plan, extra usage is billed automatically as overage, at a lower rate than pay-as-you-go. See [Overage pricing](/leadboxer/account-and-billing/leadboxer-pricing-explained.md#overage-pricing).

#### What happens if I run out of credits on the Free plan?

Data processing pauses until your credits reset, or until you upgrade to a plan or add a card for pay-as-you-go.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.leadboxer.com/leadboxer/account-and-billing/leadboxer-credits.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
